The Game Plan

The news hasn’t been great in 2020 but one area where we’ve seen opportunity for investors is interest rates.

Whether you currently own a home or are thinking about purchasing a new property, the rates couldn’t be much better. That’s why many people have considered the idea of refinancing their mortgage to take advantage of rates that sit in the mid-2’s for a 15-year.

When people come to us to talk about mortgages, we will often recommend Chris Jensen of The Jensen Group. He’s a loan officer with years of experience and can provide you with much better direction when it comes to financing a home. That’s why we asked him to join us on the Retirement Game Plan podcast to bring us to speed on where we currently are with mortgage rates and where we’re going.

There will be a few different angles we’ll take to the discussion, but the primary goal for the show is to help you learn what opportunities are out there. To start the conversation, Jensen will give us a quick overview of the different mortgage types and explain what options customers are choosing from around the Bay Area.

Then we’ll find out what current rates are available, how much it will cost to refinance, and how that will reflect in your payment amount each month. Jensen will give us a great overview of the key information you need before making a decision on a refi.

From there we’ll discuss how long these rates might last. By understanding what these rates are tied to will help you understand that the timeline of when rates might move back up.

We hope this show gives you a good look at mortgage rates and whether it could be a good opportunity to improve your financial position. Before you do anything, make sure you talk to a qualified professional to determine what’s best for you.
